Back From My Travels

22nd July 2025
I'm back from our travels to the borderland region of the Victorian Mallee. Family events have been done, as were a lot of driving, quite a bit of drinking, and even a ride on a Murray River paddle steamer. We stayed in Echuca, and quite enjoyed the break from Sydney. I had hoped to get some writing done while away, but didn't. Nonetheless, I was able to get through some reading, and that was good. There was also time to think over some plotting points.
But now I'm back home.
I have this week as leave from the day job, so I have been writing as much as I can. Mostly, I have been working on USV#4: Odin's Hall and USV#5: Markland Aflame. The only distractions from that have been a daily gym session and a few breaks for domestic chores. For the past two days, I've finalised and wrapped up 4000 words each day. I'm planning on keeping this up until Monday, when it is back to work.
I know this might feel like it's taking forever, but I'm making good progress.
I'll post again at the end of the month with a status/word count update.
