USV#4: Odin's Hall Update

I'm focused on the United States of Vinland this year.

I've wrapped up USV#4: Odin's Hall. Now that it's going through editorial, I'm working on USV#5: Markland Aflame. I have also finished two Norse American short stories, which are just waiting for the bus to editorial.

USV#5 is coming along well and is over halfway done. I'm planning for 2026 to see quite a bonanza of USV fiction! My day job has been crazy over the past four months, and will be for another four. It's not very exciting, unlike writing about Vikings and telling dark, fantastic tales. But I'm balancing things. We also had a couple of viruses and family dramas hit the household, so I've lost at least a month of my planned schedule, but we're still heading in the right direction.

What does this all mean?

Well, back in January, I'd expected we'd be seeing USV#4 in June, but now, perhaps it needs a few extra months. It's nearly there, sitting at 110,000 words, but what's going to be coming out this year for USV is not just about Odin's Hall. There will also be some short stories, and Markland Aflame, as well as a few other things. To make the effort all worthwhile (and it has been quite an effort), I need things to come out ready, and pretty much one after the other. Hang in there. We're nearly there!
