Flying West

It’s been a busy year!

The last few months, in particular, have been flat out, with the last few weeks being the most hectic. Luckily, I’ve been able to keep up! The best news here is that I’ve got a lot of words down, working on USV#4 & USV#5, my Patreon articles, as well as the next two instalments of Dragon Tide.

But, boy, do I need a holiday!

Next week I’m off to Perth for the day job, and then back to Sydney for three weeks before we fly to Scandinavia for almost four weeks that’ll take us to the Arctic Circle, Norway’s fjords for Christmas, and then skip across the North Sea to Edinburgh for New Year. The break will be an adventure, time for research and a chance to recharge. I’ll be writing as well, as I won’t be able to spend every single moment chasing reindeer, dog sleds or the Northern Lights.

This will be the first time I’ve travelled and been away from home for Christmas, so it’ll be different, but I love new vistas. Next year we’ll most likely be back in Sydney for the festive season.

2025 should be a good year for writing for me as well. I’m looking forward to new releases! The focus will be USV, but Dragon Tide will continue to be serialised, and the last Ossard book will be released.
