Status Update #8: August

30th August 2025 It's been a bit of a chaotic month, one where I lost a week to the flu and another week where I've hurt my back and struggled to sit at a desk and write. Regardless, the writing continues. I've been working on USV#4: Odin's Hall, but also keeping the Patreon moving along. There were a few speed bumps in relation to keeping the Patreon USV articles regular. They have happened (with one more scheduled to publish in a few hours), but the gaps between instalments stretched out from a week to two weeks twice. Anyway, as my back sorts itself out, I'm expecting September to get back to normal programming. The chaos of the past few weeks means I'm not quite as sure of what words counts I got done this month, but I'll have a go at listing them below: 6,000 words for the USV Patreon 14,000 finalised words for USV#4: Odin's Hall 10,000 new words for USV#4: Odin's Hall The one thing I did not get to that I had planned was to review the plot for Dragon Tide season 2 and revise the text of the first 2 instalments (about 10,000 words each). I'll get to it soon, but I am on a roll with USV, so don't want to slow that down. I also don't want to start scheduling the Dragon Tide instalments for release until I have half of them finalised before the first one publishes. What that all means is we won't see Dragon Tide season 2 until around the New Year. I will do a separate post on Dragon Tide soon to talk about it, the plan, and where I'm up to with it at that point. Take care and keep checking back!
